Artist Michael Lin introduces Taiwan New Cinema, a film programme presented as part of his exhibition Tea Towels and Serviettes at La Loge, co-curated with P.M.S. Film Collective.

Emerging in the 1980s amid profound social and political transformations, Taiwan New Cinema turned its attention to everyday life, shifting urban landscapes, and evolving notions of home and identity.

Bringing together documentary and fiction films, the programme explores the intersections of personal and collective histories, while highlighting narratives and perspectives often marginalised within cinema.
