Biography
Ursula Kroeber Le Guin (1929-2018) is the author of numerous novels, essays, poetry collections and children’s books. She is best known for tales of speculative fiction and fantasy. Notable works include The Left Hand of Darkness (1969), The Dispossessed (1974), and the Earthsea series. In 2014 Le Guin was awarded the National Book Foundation’s Medal for Distinguished Contribution to American Letters.
