On the occasion of the last week-end of Common People, artist Koenraad Dedobbleleer gave a tour of the exhibition.
Biography
Koenraad Dedobbeleer was born in 1975 in Halle, and works and lives in Brussels. Since the late 1990s he has been producing sculptures, installations, photographs, and editions. Winner of the Mies van der Rohe Award in 2009, he also curates exhibitions and co-edits the fanzine UP. Koenraad Dedobbeleer has had many solo shows at institutional venues in Europe, such as: Kunstverein Hannover, Germany (2019); CAC, Vilnius, Lithuania (2019); La Salle de bains, Lyon, France (2019); Kunstmuseum Winterthur, Switzerland (2019); WIELS, Brussels, Belgium (2018); Extra City Kunsthal, Antwerp, Belgium (2014); Gesellschaft Aktueller Kunst, Bremen, Germany (2014); De Vleeshal, Middelburg, The Netherlands (2013); Le Crédac: Centre d’art contemporain d’Ivry, Ivry-sur-Seine, France (2013); Castillio / Corrales, Paris, France (2012); Lok/Kunstmuseum, St. Gallen, Switzerland (2012); Culturgest, Lisbon, Portugal (2010); Museum Haus Esters, Krefeld, Germany (2009); Museum Abteiberg, Mönchengladbach, Germany (2007). His work has also been shown in numerous group exhibitions.
