Chiara Fumai, Poems I Will Never Release

Poems I Will Never Release, 2007-2017 is dedicated to the work of Chiara Fumai (b. Rome, 1978–d. Bari, 2017), and curated by Francesco Urbano Ragazzi and Milovan Farronato, in collaboration with Mara Montanaro. The exhibition is part of a larger project that brings together various European institutions with the aim of revisiting Chiara Fumai’s work, preserving her legacy, and transmitting it to a wide audience. After major retrospective exhibitions in Centre d’Art Contemporain Genève (2020) and Centro per l’arte contemporanea Luigi Pecci in Prato (2021), La Loge will add a more intimate chapter to this series of exhibitions, enriched by a public program. After Brussels, the exhibition will travel to La Casa Encendida in Madrid (2022), further deepening the investigation into this personality that contributed to the development of both the languages of performance and the feminist aesthetics in the 21st century.
