Michel Blazy
Michel Blazy, Téléphone, 2015

The passage of time over matter is key to Michel Blazy’s practice. Since the early nineties, the artist has been working with living entities, integrating them with static, artificial things – both equally submissive to the supremacy of time.

From 6 September to 10 November, La Loge will transform into an animated, temporary garden, combining a selection of films and key elements from Blazy’s studio practice consisting of organic matter and mutable materials.

Responding to the lively and ever-changing nature of an institution that is evenly shaped by time, this site-specific installation will explore how material transform, grow and deteriorate under the influence of external spatial and temporal conditions: climatic, architectural, technological.
