Breaking Patterns Masterclass with Uriel Orlow
Learning with Plants: Non-Extractive Practices

What lessons can we learn from plants and their medicinal powers? Uriel Orlow (Lisbon/London/Zürich) discusses with Andrea Thal (CIC Cairo) his recent works “Learning from Artemisia” and “Imbizo Ka Mafavuke” on view in his exhibition at La Loge, and the artistic strategies linked to them. After the presentation, the participants of this first art-werk “Breaking Patterns" Masterclass will be divided in separate virtual rooms and receive a precise mission prepared by the artist. The whole session begins and ends with a concert by João Orecchia live from his apartment in Johannesburg.
